Why hire an event planner?

Statistics show that the average event takes approximately 250 hours to plan. That is equivalent to over 6, full hour work weeks! KVB Events can save you the time spent on researching and planning, help to prioritize your vendors, get your budget in order, provide qualified vendor referrals, accompany you to vendor meetings and know what questions to ask. We also help review vendor contracts, negotiate on your behalf, and save you money. Not to mention, KVB Events provides creative decor and design ideas for your dream come true event! What makes KVB Events qualified to be a Professional Event Planner?

The owner of KVB Events, Kimberly, has been in the Event Planning business for 6+ years. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management and has also completed the Special Events and Meetings program at Florida International University. Kimberly loves to attend wedding and special event association meetings and conferences, and gaining new knowledge about current industry trends. Since KVB Events launched, we have been on multiple of South Florida’s venues special vendor lists because of our extensive knowledge and expertise in the Event Planning industry.

I am already working with a Catering Manager at my venue, and he/she is very helpful. Why do I need your help?

Typically, Catering Managers at hotels or venues have the job of overseeing your event details that are directly related to the venue (and sometimes the food and beverage as well). It is not in their job description to confirm your vendors, run your rehearsal, oversee the vendors on your wedding day, cue you down the aisle at your ceremony or make sure all of the day’s events are running according to schedule. As professional Event Planners, our services supplement the services offered by your Catering Manager, Banquet Manager & Staff, and other vendors.

How can I determine what ``Package`` I need? What if I don't see exactly what I am looking for in one of your packages?

No worries! We are here to help. Once we get in touch, we will ask a few questions in order to learn more about your upcoming event. Then, we are happy to meet with you for a complimentary consultation. At the consultation, we will discuss your event and your planning needs, as well as answer any questions you have about KVB Events. After learning more about each other, we will determine what package is a good fit, or we will customize something to meet your needs.

I am planning a destination wedding, but live in another city/state/country. Can you still helpk me?

Yes, we can! In fact, not all of our brides live in the same state they are getting married in. We are very comfortable with out-of-city/state/country clients and communicating via phone, email, FaceTime and Skype. Preliminary logistics can be discussed during your consultation!

How many events do you plan per year, month or weekend?

By choice, we plan approximately 15 to 25 events per year, involving a combination of Full Service, Partial Planning, and Day-Of clients. We typically plan no more than three to five events per month. We are firm believers in not over-committing ourselves, so we control our workloads in order to give our clients the time and attention they deserve!

Do you have ideas on how to make my event special, unique and memorable?

Absolutely! One of our favorite parts of our job is working with our clients to brainstorm and create whatever is necessary to make their events unique, extra-special, and tailored to their personalities, likes, and desires! This is one of the main reasons we keep ourselves up to date with what’s trending in the event industry, so we can offer creative and unique ideas for our clients’ weddings and events!

How do you determine which vendors to recommend to your clients?

We tailor all vendor referrals to fit each specific client based on his/her style, personality, and budget. After meeting with you and getting to know more about you and your vision for your special event, we will send vendor referrals that are perfect for YOU!

As a vendor, what are the benefits to working with an Event Planner like KVB Events?

So often we are told by other vendors that we are very easy to work with, professional, and friendly. Kimberly and her team are flexible and get along with everyone. We are all there to work as a TEAM on your special day with all of the vendors, making sure everything goes well and to ensure a smooth and flawless event.

How early should I hire an Event Planner for my events?

Anywhere from 9-12 months prior to your event date is a good time to start planning. You don’t want to wait until the last minute and feel overwhelmed, but you also don’t want to be planning for too long, as your opinions and ideas could change and confuse you (especially if you keep browsing Pinterest!). We recommend hiring your Event Planner right away, even for “Month Of” coordination. Dates are booked right away, so the sooner you start planning the better! If you are on a tight turnaround, feel free to reach out and we can discuss your options with you!

Do you only do Weddings?

KVB Events is open to helping with any event you need a Planner for! We specialize in all types of special events, from Weddings, Anniversary Parties, Baptisms, Baby Showers, Bridal Showers, Birthday Parties and so much more!

How do I set up a consultation?

Want to get to know each other? I’d love to! Go to my contact page and fill out the questions requested. Once we receive your email, please allow 24-48 hours for us to get back to you and then we will schedule a conference call with you. Consultations are nice for us to get to know each other to make sure that we are a good fit. By the end of your planning process, we will become BFFs!

How do I choose a venue?

Choosing your Event Venue is one of the best parts of planning your event! It all depends on the type of style, vibe and look you are going for. Is the venue you are choosing able to accommodate everything you’ve wanted in your ballroom? Maybe you want an outdoor wedding? Make sure to always look at all of the locations available to host your events and most importantly look at the backup plans!

Where are you located?

KVB Events is located in the South Florida region (Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach + so much more) and is always available to travel. You let me know your destination and we will make it work!
